Good Hope Estate, Jamaica

Set on 2,000 acres in Jamaica's Trelawny parish, Good Hope is a restored 18th-century great house surrounded by tropical forest, rivers, and gardens. It is one of the most extraordinary private estates in the Caribbean, and the setting for this retreat.

The estate offers a rare combination of beauty, privacy, and natural grandeur. Between sessions, you will walk jungle trails, swim in rivers, and find stillness in spaces that have held centuries of history. Every detail is considered, from the chef-prepared meals that nourish your body, to the carefully curated schedule that honors the rhythm of your experience.

Beckley Retreats operates legally in Jamaica and in full compliance with all U.S. federal and local jurisdiction requirements.

The Science

Backed by 25+ Years of Research

A landmark study by the Beckley Foundation and Imperial College London revealed that plant experiences create thousands of new neural connections that do not exist under normal conditions. This increased connectivity, visible on brain imaging, offers a unique mechanism for lasting cognitive and emotional change.

This is not theoretical. Our published research validates the approach we take with every guest, and our Head of Research, Dr. AZA Allsop, brings Harvard/MIT doctoral training and an active Yale faculty position to our program design. Our Research Advisor, Dr. Karestan Koenen from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, further strengthens the scientific rigor behind our approach.
